For external animal use only.
Vetpharma Cyperdip 20% is a parasiticide and insecticide that controls ticks, kills lice and aids in the control of nuisance flies and biting flies on cattle.
HARMFUL
COMPOSITION
Cypermethrin 200,0 g/L
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use only as directed.
Shake well before use. Protect from extremes of heat and cold.
Premixing
Add a measured volume of concentrate to double that volume of water (while stirring) to produce a creamy emulsion. Then add this premix to the bulk of the water in the drum or spray race sump. Agitate to achieve thorough mixing of the dip wash.
Dipping of cattle
It is good management to dip calves under three months separately from larger animals and preferably after the main herd.
Spray race
Fresh fill (complete) - 1:1 (1 L to 1000 L water). It is not advisable to carry dip wash over from one spraying to the next. Preferably only make up sufficient wash for each spraying (± 3 L per head plus an amount for the pump system).
Hand spraying
Prepare about 5 L dip wash per head at 1:1000 (10 ml to 10 L water). Thoroughly wet the animal by spraying from below upwards so that the hair is lifted by the spray. Concentrate on the ears, under the tail and in the brush of the tail.
Dipping intervals
TICKS: When using this product for the first time, it is recommended that heavily infested cattle be dipped until they are free from ticks. Fortnightly dipping thereafter may be followed except in the case of severe brown ear tick infestation, when weekly dipping may be preferable. It is then recommended that fortnightly dipping be carried out throughout the year including the winter season.
LICE: Normally only one application is sufficient, however second dipping after 2 weeks will ensure total control.
NUISANCE FLIES AND BITING FLIES: The regular dipping of animals as indicated for tick control above, will aid in the control of nuisance flies and biting flies. Specifically for fly control, weekly dipping or spraying for a period of 3 weeks should be applied. Thereafter this procedure should be repeated as necessary.
STORAGE
Store below 25 °C.

- The correct dipping of cattle in this product may in time give rise to very low tick infestations on the animals. Immunity against tick-borne diseases, especially among the young stock, could diminish. This is undesirable if the animals are subjected to tick infestation later on. It is therefore advisable that cattle be immunized against tick-borne diseases and calves under 4 weeks should not be dipped unless tick infestation is excessive.
