For animal use only.
For the prevention of infectious bronchitis in fowls.
COMPOSITION
Freeze-dried live attenuated Massachusetts H120 strain infectious bronchitis virus:
10⁴ EID₅₀/dose.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use only as directed.
Use in drinking water
Withhold drinking water from the fowls for approximately one to two hours (depending on the ambient temperature) before vaccination to ensure that they are thirsty.
The water troughs should be thoroughly cleaned before administering the vaccine, but disinfectants should not be used, as residues would destroy the vaccine virus.Drinking troughs should be free from disinfecting solutions and medications 48 hours prior to vaccination and for 24 hours after vaccination.
Skim milk powder should be used to stabilise the vaccine virus.
It should be dissolved in the water at a rate of 0,2% (2 g/l) before the vaccine is added.Dissolve the contents of the vial with a small volume of clean, cool, non-chlorinated water. Once reconstituted, mix into the required volume of drinking water according to the number and age of the fowls, season and environmental temperature.
Distribute the vaccine-treated water so that all fowls have an opportunity to drink.
Do not give other drinking water until the vaccine-treated water has been consumed.
For broilers, a single administration at the age of 7-14 days is sufficient.
In future breeding and layer fowls a first administration is advised at the age of 2-4 weeks, followed by a second between 8-12 weeks.
The second administration must be given before the onset of lay. Do not vaccinate fowls with any other vaccine within 7 days after the administration of BI-VAC 1°.
